Finals on the line in local derby clashes! Brothers Bulldogs v The Waves Eagles – Saturday, August 10.

Finals are on the line for the Brothers Bulldogs senior men’s and women’s teams as they take on the Waves Eagles this Saturday at Brothers AFL Complex. The Bulldogs currently sit 2 wins ahead of Waves on the ladder in the AFL Wide Bay Senior Men’s competition, however with their last contest ending in a 64-all draw less than 2 weeks ago the Eagles will be confident that they can take the Preliminary Final race into the final round of regular season fixtures.

CURRENT SENIOR MEN’S LADDER

After a narrow 8-2 loss to the Bombers last weekend, where an injury half way through the third quarter ended the match prematurely, the Bulldogs senior women face the toughest task of all in having to defeat the unbeaten Eagles women’s side to secure an Preliminary Final spot. Their only other hope is if the improving Maryborough Bears break their winless streak & upset the Hervey Bay Bombers on their home deck.

CURRENT SENIOR WOMEN’S LADDER

In other matches, the Brothers Bulldogs Reserves will be looking to finish a disappointing season on a high with a victory over their crosstown rivals, who are still a sneaky chance of making the semi-finals with victories in their final two regular season matches.

RESERVES LADDER

The U17’s face off in a precursor to their Preliminary Final on Sunday, August 25. The Bulldogs will be keen to build some positive momentum & continuity within the team after struggling against the Eagles in their past 3 contests.

UNDER 17’S LADDER

The Brothers Bulldogs U14’s will be looking to build some winning momentum ahead of the Preliminary Finals, after struggling with both sickness & unavailability in losses to Hervey Bay Bombers Red & Black in 2 of their past 3 matches.

UNDER 14’S LADDER

Finally, the Bulldogs U12 Red’s will be keen to continue their great form & cement top spot on the AFL Wide Bay ladder. However, it won’t be easy against an improving Waves side coming off a convincing victory over the Bulldogs U12 White team.
