Bulldogs to take aim at high flying Bombers this Saturday at the Kennel!

The Bundaberg Brothers Bulldogs youth & senior teams are preparing to take aim at the high flying Hervey Bay Bombers this Saturday at Brothers AFL Complex in Round 5 of the AFL Wide Bay competition.

The Bulldogs have already hit the highway twice this year with all grades struggling against the classy Hervey Bay Bombers outfit, barring the undefeated Under 12 white team whom are yet to face the Bombers in 2023. The Bulldogs senior women came closest in Round 1 & 4 with 12 & 18 point losses respectively in hard fought, low scoring encounters. Brothers Bulldogs senior men have succumbed to 70 point losses on both trips to Bomber Land, with hard work in defence and through the middle coming unstuck across half forward with the Bombers strong backline featuring Cameron Baker & captain Michael Lewis proving hard to penetrate with intercept marks the feature of the day.

The action starts early this Saturday, May 20 with the Under 12’s kicking off at 7.45am as Brothers Bulldogs white take on the Maryborough Bears. Bulldogs & Bombers feature in the remaining 5 fixtures starting with the Under 14’s at 9.15am & concluding with the senior men at 3.15pm. The Under 12 Red team face a tough ask as the only Bulldogs team to hit the road in Round 6, taking on the Bombers at N.E. McLean Oval at 8am.
