It was another massive day of local AFL action at Brothers Bulldogs yesterday with games running from 7.45am right through until the senior men’s fixture which concluded at 5pm.
The highlight of the day was without doubt our senior women’s maiden victory against Hervey Bay Bombers FC and also their first for the 2023 AFL Wide Bay season. The sheer joy of the players & coach Felicity Tankey as the final siren sounded was something to behold! Congratulations ladies & we look forward to seeing what you can achieve as the season goes on.
Finally, thanks again to all of our wonderful volunteers that assisted throughout the day! From on field roles such as trainer, runner, water runner, club umpire & goal umpire to off-field duties such as working in the canteen & bar, ground marshall & timekeeper, the club could simply not function without you!
